The Media Foundation for West Africa (MFWA) has donated books to the Kojo Yankah School of Communication Studies (KYSCS) at the African University College of Communications(AUCC). The publications were presented to AUCC at a short ceremony held on Tuesday, March 30, 2021, at the conference hall of MFWA at East Legon.

The event was in line with the foundation’s commitment to contribute to the education of students in the fields of journalism, communications and human rights.

Receiving the donation on behalf of AUCC, the Dean of Students at KYSCS, Dr Jim F. Awindor expressed gratitude to the foundation for their kind gesture. He indicated that the books would be made available to the university community and the general public at the Sam Quaicoe Library at the Discovery House campus at Adabraka, Accra.

The books donated covers issues of Freedom of Expression Rights, Media and Elections, Safety of Journalists, Rights to Information, Legal Frameworks covering the work of the media in West Africa and related documents. AUCC is one of few private universities in Ghana to have

benefited from the foundation.
