  • AUCC FOUNDER WINS ANOTHER EDUCATION AWARD

The founder of the African University College of Communications (AUCC) Hon. Kojo Yankah, has been invited to Malaysia on September 28 to receive an“EDUCATIONAL LEADERSHIP AWARD” at the World Marketing Summit hosting the Golden Star Academic and Educational Excellence Awards 2013.

A Philip Kotler Initiative for a Better World, the Golden Star Academic and Educational Excellence Awards recognizes individuals and institutions throughout the world who believe “Excellence is infinite and can lead to shaping the destinies of the future of the World”, says Dr R.L Bhatia, chairman of the Jury.

This is the second international education excellence award conferred on Hon. Kojo Yankah in the past one year. In June 2012, he was invited to receive an award for “Outstanding Contribution to Education” at the World Education Congress held in Mumbai, India.

The Jury and Council of Board Members of the World Education Congress selected Mr. Yankah for his contribution to ‘benchmarking educational practices’ in founding AUCC and leading it to attain high academic and professional standards worldwide.

The World Marketing Summit in Malaysia is the culmination of the professional odyssey of Philip Kotler, S.C. Johnson & Son and a Distinguished Professor of Marketing at the Northwestern University Kellog Graduate School of Management in Chicago.

In a comment on the award, Acting President of AUCC, Professor Kwaku Armah said “We have no doubt the extent to which the seed sown by the AUCC founder has impacted the world. With students coming from 16 African countries, AUCC, specialising in communication and business education is changing the destinies of a lot of Africans”.
