  • MESSAGE FROM THE FOUNDER

    AUCC celebrated its 10th anniversary in 2012 with great pride. Since then, a new spirit of enthusiasm for innovation and creativity has seized both staff and students and has enlarged the scope of the university college. With students coming from 16 African countries - English and French speaking - to share experiences while imbibing fresh knowledge and relevant information, AUCC stands tall on the continent of Africa as a centre of excellence in communication education. Its Sam E. Jonah Business School is already making waves in business education with its innovative and cutting-edge programmes never experienced in any business school on the west coast of Africa.

    For the first time, top business executives and communicators will appear in person to deliver their own experiences to students. Our mission to provide creative leadership learning has been sharpened and we are poised to expand our offerings to meet market demand. Our medium-term strategic plan has been rolled out, and we are at the next level of our growth - to position AUCC to usher in advanced masters degrees and specialized diplomas.

    Our hard-working teaching and non-teaching staff, our highly motivated students, and our proud and confident alumni continue to inspire our vision. It is a joy to see our past students sweep national and international awards in their professional area. We are challenged by increased demand on our resources to look out for innovative solutions, and this continues to keep our Management Team on their toes.

    AUCC has acquired a new site at Pomadze, Winneba Junction, 40 minutes west of Accra, and construction work will soon start on a new campus, with lecture halls, student hostels, staff housing and expanded library facilities.

    This is a certainly an exciting time to be part of the AUCC dream.

    Our Core Values remain
    1. The Pursuit of Excellence;
    2. Critical and Independent Thinking;
    3. Creativity and Innovation;
    4. Respect for African cultural Values; and
    5. Service to the Community.

    Our symbol is the Baobab Tree which is the source of our Energy, Vitality, Confidence and Strength; and our Orange colour signifies Achievement (Harvest) while our Black is the soul of our Africanness.

    Welcome to AUCC, where you have rare opportunities to investigate and search yourself and define a rewarding path for your personal, professional and social growth in a pan-African community.

    It is my warmest delight to welcome you to AUCC.
