The Institute of Public Relations, Ghana (IPR) student’s chapter of the Africa University College of Communications (AUCC) organized a days seminar dubbed ‘Coca Cola/PR day’.

The objective of the event was to give Coca Cola Ghana Limited, the opportunity to share their Integrated Marketing Communications (IMC) practice with students and foster good relationships between the chapter and Coca Cola Ghana Limited. It was also to expose students to practical knowledge and build connection with practitioners on the field.

Speaking at the seminar, Mr. Ike Cudjoe, Public Affairs and Communications Manager, said “IMC will offer students more room to be multifunctional and prepare them to solve organisational challenges”. He emphasized that the IMC concept was designed to cater for all aspects of marketing communications, such as advertising, sales promotion, public relations and direct marketing as unified force.

Michael S.E. Bruce, president of the students chapter said, the chapter is determined to bring Public Relations practice to the doorstep of corporations in Ghana, adding that, the event would grow to become a major forum for serious discussions on Public Relations in future.
