Greetings one and all. This message comes from an African who was born in Kenya and is now living in Ghana. I am honored to be with AUCC as part of a team that is responsible for building it into the premier journalism and communication training institution in Africa.

Having been in the business for over 26 years, l have seen many institutions becoming mere mirages that fall far short of the ideals they espouse. AUCC feels

different principally because it seeks to achieve its vision by working as a team of committed faculty members, students and institutional partners.

With the help of my team members, l hope to promote greater interaction with media professionals. I also look to ensuring that student and faculty exchange programs expose students to the Africa region and global society. In my opinion, teamwork is the key to making everything else happen. Our conviction to keeping that spirit alive and well is of paramount importance. The combination of teamwork, communication and a continent that needs to prove to the rest of the world that it is determined to graduate from being a global basket case to becoming a player characterizes the challenges AUCC will face in the coming years.

I believe it will make significant milestones in that direction.
